Following a busy three months involving 91 judging visits to businesses the Finalists have been announced for this year’s Devon Tourism Awards which will be presented at Sandy Park on 27th November 2025.
All will be in suspense until the Awards Ceremony, when they will learn whether they have won Gold, Silver or Bronze awards. 77 finalists have been selected, though in some categories none are named in advance so as to keep a few surprises for the big night. A further two special awards will also be announced and 10 will be rewarded with Commended status.
The annual competition is now in its 16th year, with changes every year to categories and criteria, reflecting the constant innovation and reinvention across the industry. This year’s awards took sustainability to an even higher level with the launch of a new Regenerative Tourism category, encouraging businesses to new heights in their commitment to the environment and community. The awards organisers were also delighted to retain their own ‘Outstanding’ accreditation in the Awards TrustMark scheme.
Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at Sandy Park, Exeter on 27 November, with Gold winners in matching categories nominated to represent Devon in the national Visit England Awards in 2026.
Mark Worden, Director of Headline Sponsors MiHi Digital, said: “As lead sponsors of the Devon Tourism Awards, we’re delighted to see the quality and range of finalists announced this year — from business event venues to dog-friendly glamping sites, no stone has been left unturned! It’s inspiring to see the talent, creativity and hard work that go into making Devon such a special place to visit. Every year the standard gets higher, and these awards are a brilliant way to celebrate the people and places that make this one of the very best tourist destinations in the country.”
Awards organiser Robin Barker of Services for Tourism commented: “It is so inspiring to hear the good-news stories from our judges who’ve been out on the road visiting so many businesses. They have sampled the Devon tourism experience ‘for real’ and their reports amply illustrate the passion for excellence that is shared across the industry.”
Award categories cover everything from cafes and attractions to new tourism business, and accessible and inclusive tourism to restaurants, glamping, hotels and pubs. A Winner of Winners title and Outstanding Contribution to Tourism award will also be presented on the night.
