Sandridge Barton vineyard on the edge of the River Dart in Devon is located in the perfect terroir for growing grapes and thanks to a limestone ridge, is adding a hint of Burgundy to the production of their fine quality English wines.
The vineyard and winery has four decades of history and wine making knowledge and experience, however the name Sandridge Barton marks a new era for the celebrated Dart Valley winery & Sharpham Wine, which has moved across the river Dart to a new state of the art winery adjacent to the 32acre Sandridge Barton vineyard which has been producing grapes for Sharpham Wines for over a decade.
The award winning team already produces natural and vegan wines but they can now implement even more eco-friendly methods and have also converted the former dairy farm into a visitors centre, retail shop and café to attract wine lovers to the region. Visitors are welcome at the existing Sharpham Wine visitor centre and café throughout 2021. From April 2022 visitors will also be welcome to enjoy wine tastings, tours and other events.
